Abstract

Machining processes are responsible for environmental effects accepting to their power demand. Cutting parameters such as cutting speed and feed rate, could be optimized to minimize cutting power, power consumed for cutting. This paper presents an experimental study to get the effect cutting parameters during turning of treated Al-11%Si base alloy under dry cutting in order to reduce power demand. The
methodology of this study is calculating the power demand based on the data of material removal rate from previously experimental. This result of study represented that lower cutting speed provides minimum power demand, which is an important following step for the implementation of sustainable machining.Selection and/or peer-r
