Abstract
The results of this study indicate that from 11 samples of English literature program, Fajar University, it is concluded that 8 students used Nida and Taber’s translation process. It starts with analysis, transfer, and last is restructuring. In the other hand there were 2 students worked their descriptive text starts from transfer, analysis, and last is restructuring. And one student did not used one of the stages which is restructuring. The translation process can be changed depending on the source language when translating, if the SL is in English the students did not use the process. If the SL in Indonesia the students use the translation process.
